Two-Rep Tuesday: Ep. 8
THE GREATEST ABILITY IS AVAILABILITY
THE GREATEST ABILITY IS AVAILABILITY
The greatest predictor of winning is availability of top talent on game day.
Welcome to our latest episode of 2-Rep Tuesday, where we bring a question (Rep #1) and an insight (Rep #2) from the world of high-performance to get your wheels turning.
🎯 Insight

Across sport there is a single metric that determines a team’s probability of winning. Availability of top talent.
As the value of winning climbs, keeping players healthy and ready to compete has never been more important.
In professional sport, this is a well understood phenomenon, and is the reason performance and medical teams have ballooned in size and deepened in specialization, sport science tools and technologies have exploded, and new leadership roles have emerged to optimize models and integration strategies.
In college athletics, this phenomenon has been slower to unfold. However, progressive leaders are starting to connect the dots between the student-athlete experience, availability, and the quality of expertise supporting development, performance, and well-being. A significant competitive advantage rests in the wings for programs ready to embrace a modern high-performance approach.
🎯 Question
Do you know the availability trends across your department (administrators)? Are your medical and performance units radically aligned (philosophically) and seamlessly integrated (structurally) to optimize this critical outcome?
